The idea of feminism creates more seperation between the sexes. Isn’t the goal to create equality?
How has feminism created more inequality?
Personally, I like voting, having the right to own a home, getting the same education as men, not getting sexually harassed, being able to sleep with guys without being victimized by a double standard, getting equal pay for equal work, and having the same career opportunities as my peers. Feminists and feminist thought helped create that reality, and most feminists who deserve the title champion men’s rights as well.
I could buy that feminism alienates some men. But how has it actually separated men and women, or furthered inequality? Could you explain why you feel that way?
For all the reasons you mentioned, feminism has been a positive movement in society.
I support it 100%, I want equal rights for women. I simply find that often times feminists are always looking at sexism in nearly everything, even when it isn’t there.
I’ll be totally honest with you, I follow your tumblr and I often groan at how almost everything has to be seen through that lens. Our total being shouldn’t be based through the prism of our gender.
